WHAT IS CSR?

CSR is an independent center for social research.

OUR MISSION

The Center’s mission is to develop and sponsor social research projects in Switzerland and beyond.

WHAT WE DO

The Center strives to contribute to a better understanding of differentiation based on age, class, ethnicity, gender, nationality, race, religion and sexuality. To this end, we design, direct and develop interdisciplinary research projects, emphasizing social, historical and theoretical approaches.

In addition, CSR obtains funds and promotes knowledge transfer. We thus partner and collaborate with academic and cultural institutions as well as individual scholars, students, cultural practitioners and activists. Furthermore, the Center financially rewards productive and creative scholarship and thereby promotes the visibility and accessibility of rigorous social research.
